John Ingrassia and another firm attorney obtained an Order to Show Cause from the Appellate Division, Third Department releasing a client from Sullivan County Jail pending appeal. The client was sentenced by Sullivan County Family Court to a 75 day commitment after the client was found to be in violation of a Court order. Our firm is handling the appeal which will argue, among other issues, that the sentence was excessive. If the Order to Show Cause was not granted, the client would have served the entire sentence before a decision could be rendered on the appeal.
