A Pawling man has won a $1.75 million settlement for injuries he received in a 1999 accident at his work place. Mario Socci Jr. was injured while working at a block manufacturing plant in Brewster. While he was making adjustments to a mold that forms the blocks, a machine manufactured by German firm, Masa Aktiengesellschaft, was unexpectedly activated, crushing Socci's leg.
