James Alexander Burke specializes in the fields of personal injury, products liability and business litigation. A 1984 graduate of Boalt Hall, University of California at Berkeley, Mr. Burke worked for the Legal Aid Society of New York and for a NYC white collar criminal boutique before moving to the Hudson Valley and joining Larkin, Axelrod, Ingrassia & Tetenbaum, LLP, where he heads the appeals and motions department. He is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, and in the U.S. District Courts in all four districts of New York.

Mr. Burke is married and the father of three children. He is cantor and organist at Saint Peter's Catholic Church in Kingston, New York and Chariman of the parish's church restoration committee. He was associated for several years with the Mid-Hudson Children's Museum in Poughkeepsie, New York, where, after four years as President of the Board of Trustees, he became a member of the Museum's Advisory Board.
