An Otisville resident has won a $4.375 million settlement for severe head and spine injuries he sustained in a 1997 accident on Route 9W in the Town of Cornwall. The accident occurred when a garbage truck, which was over its weight limitation, collided with a parked truck being operated by Timothy Mann to trim trees along the road.

Elliot S. Tetenbaum, a partner in the law firm of Larkin, Ingrassia & Tepermayster, LLP, settled the case, Mann v. All-Waste Systems, 7848-97, Sept. 5 before Orange County Supreme Court Justice Peter C. Patsalos. This is the second highest settlement in Orange County over the past 10 years, according to the New York Jury Verdict Reporter.
